Years of focusing on the junior market has enabled us to further understand the uniqueness, complexities, fast changing pace, and timing of this specific market.

What is inspiring you this season and howare you incorporating this into your collection?
This season, we were inspired by the market’s need to return to a true casual, practical everyday lifestyle coupled with fashion direction inspired by comfortable, natural, worn, denim friendly looks.

What three words describe your Holiday/Resort 10-11 collection?
Casual, comfy, and versatile.

What is the number one thing that will make buyers want to buy your collection this season?
Buyers will look to Big Buddha for the latest, most current fashion and true junior looks, offered at prices that fit the budget of this consumer but look much more expensive.

What direction do you see fashion moving in?
For quite some time now, casual footwear choices have been limited to sneakers. This is changing and will continue to change, with footwear returning to a much varied collection of sporty, casual choices.

What are your words to live by?
Choose your target and stay true to your consumer. Stay inspired.

Where is your favorite place to shop?
A favorite place to shop is at All Saints.

How did you develop your interestand expertise in the fashion industry?
I developed my interest and expertise in the fashion industry by always studying the market. I then allow myself to think and design freely, letting everything around me to inspire me.

What is inspiring you this season and howare you incorporating this into your collection?
My designs are always inspired by the wonderful medleys of the 1970’s. I use decorative trims, embroideries, and lace combinations to create charmed, feminine silhouettes reminiscent of that time period, but with a modern twist.

What three words describe your Holiday/Resort 10-11 collection?
Charming, feminine, and pretty.

What is the number one thing that will make buyers want to buy your collection this season?
Details, details, details! Buyers will be drawn to the Freebird collection for the unexpected details that will always surprise.

What direction do you see fashion moving in?
Fast fashion! Fashion is moving in this fast direction because of the big trend amongst teen bloggers – posting fashion photos online from the runways, streets, events, and even their own outfits. As a result, the most recent trends get to the consumers much faster today, which drives the market to try to provide more fashionable goods to consumers at a much more rapid pace.

What are your words to live by?
Just do it!

Where is your favorite place to shop?
My favorite place to shop is the LF storeon Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles.

How did you develop your interestand expertise in the fashion industry?
I developed my interest in fashion through working with all different women’s wear lines. From early on, I was always very interested in finding new waysto evolve women’s wear. There are so many possibilities in women’s wearthat I like to explore, such as a refined dressed up look to a casual weekend look. The TCEC collection shows just that - modern to traditionalwomen’s clothing.

What is inspiring you this season and howare you incorporating this into your collection?
I find inspiration from all different places, including: the street, magazines, vintage designs, the news, different cultures, and history. At TCEC, our inspiration comes from these elements, which we use to express our views and thoughts on the subject using clothing as a canvas.

What three words describe your Holiday/Resort 10-11 collection?
Stylish, feminine, and fresh.

What is the number one thing that will make buyers want to buy your collection this season?
The number one thing that will attract buyers to the TCEC collection is quality clothing at a good price.

What direction do you see fashion moving in?
Casual clothing is the wave of the present and many of the clothes we see today are designed to imitate the fashion of the past. I see both casual wear and re-invented fashions of the past having a strong presence moving forward.
